Christeyns UK Limited is committed to maintaining a profitable and competitive organization with a company wide culture of quality and environmental protection. In fulfilling this commitment the senior management team of Christeyns UK have accepted the responsibility to effectively manage all environmental issues within its span of control.

As demonstration of this commitment Christeyns UK achieved certification to ISO 14001 in October 2003 (certificate number EMS 73529). Christeyns UK will adopt a proactive approach to changes in legislation, environmental issues and technical innovations.

Specifically our systems, procedures, and communications will focus primarily on the following:
• Compliance to all site permits, consents and relevant legislation.
• Safe manufacture and supply of chemical products.
• Continued focus on reducing the environmental impact of products and service.
• Effective management of bulk delivery and storage of chemicals.
• Safe storage, distribution & delivery of chemical products.
• Appropriate waste disposal of materials.
• Recycling of materials - waste reduction.
• Prevention of pollution - Emergency response.
• Efficient use of energy.
• Efficient use of water.

Where appropriate, Christeyns will offer external assistance and support in various forms. This may be achieved by providing training and advice to customers on correct use of products and equipment.

Additionally by participating with trade associations and environmental committees it is felt that the Christeyns UK Environmental Policy will reach a wider audience.
